This is a racing game in which players compete with Sonic the Hedgehog and other characters from the SEGA universe. As players speed through themed tracks, they can use various power-ups (e.g., ice cannons, puffer fish, “homing weapons”) to impede opponents' progress; vehicles may spin out or flip into the air when hit, sometimes resulting in colorful explosions or comical yelps.
